Join us on a very special train not only celebrating 40 years of preserved main line steam but also raising money for the Help For Heroes charity.
Help for Heroes was founded by Bryn and Emma Parry in October 2007 out of a desire to help the wounded Servicemen and women returning from Afghanistan and Iraq. The message of the charity is simple: We are strictly non political and non critical; we simply want to help.

I am a driver at Manchester and along with 4 colleagues we have been fund raising for CLIC Sargent. A cancer charity caring for children and young people.
We have a steam tour booked to run on the 1st October 2011.
We have been busy with writing letters and emailing.
This has resulted in us contacting some very generous people and companies. Please see our sponsor’s page.
The steam tour will hopefully depart Crewe at 9am. Headed by The Scots Guardsmen kindly supplied by WCR.
We have a brass band booked to play at Crewe.
Provisionally booked Pete Waterman to whistle us off.
Then its main line to Carlisle while having some bucks fizz and a full English if desired.
On arrival at Carlisle we hope to be greeted by the mayor and a solo bagpipe player.
A couple of hours in Carlisle then it’s the return journey via settle, the steamer will leave us at Hellifield. 4/5 course dinner and a bottle of wine for ALL passengers as this "special" is all premier dining.
There are lots of other thing going on like, eBay auction of Driver Simulator days, cab ride, prototype nose shield off the voyager fleet.
Limited edition prints and original oil.
Please see our website and feedback to me any questions or comments.
