    Was lucky enough to have met him at the GC quite a few years ago when 92203 visited, despite being mobbed when he left the footplate he was happy to speak to everyone and sign autographs etc. A very charming gentleman. Thank you for everything David.

    Very sad for steam, art and wildlife. I'm sure I heard somewhere that he took his income from the sale of prints and when he sold a painting the proceeds went to the WWF. Perhaps it's fitting to add a picture of the two steam locos he will be...

    With railtour season coming to a close, there is no rush to bring her into operation, I am sure they will let her out again on a test run in the fullness of time. A reliable, class8 loco is what is needed, and I am sure WCRC are working...

    Without wishing to comment on the competence of WCRC one way or the other, there does seem to be a common theme widely expressed on NatPres (and it has been very prevalent in this thread, with reference to several different locomotives) that...
